Our Coaches

Samuel Peralta

Head Coach & Co-Owner @ OCC Fight House

Instagram: @Obscure_Void

Credentials: 2× IBJJF No-Gi World Champion | 10th planet Black Belt in No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu | Muay Thai / Striking Educator

Bio: Sam Peralta is the striking coach whose pads crack louder than your excuses. Known online for crisp technique and clean instructional work, Sam's striking content has gained massive traction — showing the world what real Muay Thai mechanics look like.

Behind the viral clips is a true technician: a two-time no-gi world champion, a lifelong martial artist, and a coach who values timing, precision, and efficient movement above all.

At OCC Fight House, Sam specializes in:

• Muay Thai timing & striking patterns
• Pad-work with purpose
• Fight IQ development
• Integrating no-gi jiu-jitsu and striking into one complete system

Sam develops confident, disciplined athletes with exceptional fundamentals — on and off the mats.

Kyle Ferriter

Co-Owner @ OCC Fight House

Instagram: @thegoon_10p

Credentials:

• UWW Beach Wrestling Bronze Medalist
• 6× National Champion (Catch Wrestling, Beach Wrestling, Belt Wrestling, Scottish Backhold, Sumo)
• Judo Brown Belt
• BJJ Purple Belt

Bio: A Colorado Springs native, Kyle Ferriter is one of the most accomplished heavyweight grapplers in the country. A six-time national champion and UWW world medalist, he's known for combining surprising athleticism with true heavyweight power and technical depth developed across multiple grappling styles.

After wrestling in high school and college, Kyle returned to the Springs and began expanding his skill set. As an assistant coach at local wrestling clubs, he helped lead his team to back-to-back Adidas national championships. He later immersed himself in traditional and lesser-known wrestling arts — including beach wrestling, sumo, belt wrestling, and Scottish backhold — and developed a background in Highland Games and strength festivals.

Kyle has competed in over 10 countries, learning from expert grapplers around the world. He brings those influences together at OCC Fight House, blending mobility, pressure, and creativity into a unique, effective coaching style.

At OCC Fight House, Kyle focuses on:

• Heavyweight jiu-jitsu done right
• Pressure systems that work across all weight classes
• High-value situational training over traditional warm-ups
• Techniques pulled from global grappling traditions

Kyle's goal is simple: help every student — regardless of size or background — level up through efficient, purposeful training.

Sean Maes

Co-Owner @ OCC Fight House

Credentials: No-Gi Worlds — 4th Place | Instructor

Bio: Sean has been around martial arts most of his life, moving through different disciplines before settling into jiu-jitsu, where he developed a practical, timing-based style. He placed 4th at No-Gi Worlds as a blue belt and built a reputation for steady, controlled, effective technique.

Before jiu-jitsu, Sean competed as a Division 1 athelete — a demanding chapter that shaped his discipline, timing, and work ethic

Outside the mats, Sean has a technical background, which shows in the way he teaches — clear systems, calm problem-solving, and attention to detail.

At OCC Fight House, Sean teaches simple, effective grappling built on fundamentals, pressure, and patient improvement. He prefers to stay in the background and let his training speak for itself.
